How can lines on paper equal such handsomeness?

(I'm talking about Tres Iqus, the sexy AX agent of Trinity Blood.)

I don't really use HTML all that often, I haven't had lessons in it or anything. But I did make a Trinity Blood-themed profile code with an image of the android himself if you're interested in looking at it...if only to tell me how much I fail at HTML, lol. I put effort into the picture!

So.
I know I don't update, I know I don't update...school is eating my life. It's really crunch time for me at the moment.

However, we have recently bought a wireless router for our internet...and, of course, I decided to catch up on all the mangas I'd left by the wayside while internet access was harder to come by. I never finished Loveless even though I was really enjoying it. There are also a few mangas that I have in mind for reading: Godchild, xxxHolic and Midnight Secretary (my sister recommended the last one). What do you guys think of those? Can anyone recommend anything to me? I'm a fan of mangas which get you thinking - Death Note did that for me, and it's still a manga close to my heart. *daydreams about Near*

I've pretty much stopped reading Bleach (even in spite of the recent UlquiorraXOrihime fanservice) because I've lost interest in the plot. The fighting has gone on for ages, and because of this I'm not seeing any real character development. I know, it's shonen...what else can I expect?...but Bleach really had me hooked for a long time and if anyone can arouse my interest in this manga again I'll be grateful.

I has a coffee machine. Yessss. My mum bought it for me to make up for two birthdays and graduation, which is not too soon, but quite soon, if you know what I mean. I'm still figuring out the steam wand (for texturing milk), but I'm slowly getting better. And hey, it gives me the chance to drink as many lattes as I please. >:D

Okay, so I've got a crapload of memes to share.

Stolen from [info]elisabell_angel:
a) What Kind Of Manga Character Are You? You fill in the checklist and post it in your journal, or in the comments if you like. I got "Lolita/Shota Character", whoo!
b) Five Questions: Reply to this post with the phrase "My sympathy to your parents" and I will give you five questions to answer. You must post the answers in your journal with the same instructions.
c) Seme or Uke?: Take the quiz and find out. :)

Stolen from [info]calmingeffects:
d) Ten Things Which You Love: Leave me a comment asking for a letter and I will give you one. Then, write 10 things in your journal that you love starting with that letter. Post the list in your journal. Give out letters to your commenters in return.
e) Cocktail Personality Test: Take the test to see what you're made of. This one is cute and easy.

Go go go )

YOU'RE ON MY FRIENDS LIST, I want to know 28 things about you. I don't care if we've never talked, never really clicked, or if we already know everything about each other. I really don't. You are obviously on my f-list, so let me get to know you a little better!

How it works: Underneath the cut is a list of questions you can answer by copying and pasting them into a comment.

NOTE: Only participate if you want to, I'm not tagging anybody. :)

UNDERSIGH
a fanworks journal

Note: In an effort to keep my fanworks and my regular journal entries separate (not that there's been too many of the latter recently), I created undersigh so that I can post all of my fic and graphics and such in one place and make them easier to find. I've moved all of my old stuff over there (no small feat and I don't consider myself a particularly prolific iconmaker), and there will be a new post soon. Go and take a look if you're interested.

So I'll take this time, while I have it, to pimp my poetry journal. I'm going to post my poetry outside this journal because I figure that just about everyone who has come to my journal and friended me has done so for fandom reasons - not because they're interested in my more obscure hobbies like writing poetry.

Anyway. If any of you are even vaguely interested: [info]lickadaisy.

Thanks for your time.

And I'm sorry for seriously neglecting to update - I know that some of you appreciate knowing I'm here ([info]elisabell_angel, I bare my back to your lash, I know I promised).

I'm doing a manga colour! It's been ages since I last did one of these. It's a Loveless one (Ritsuka), and I simply had to colour it because the image was just so gorgeous. I scanned it from a friend's copy of the manga, volume 2 or 3 I think, can't remember 'cause I scanned it ages ago. (Thanks, Em.) Anyway, even though I think Loveless is the bomb, I'm not so into it that I can be bothered joining a Loveless comm. So I guess this'll just have to stay in my journal unless someone posts a link to it or whatever (which I doubt, I'm not all that fantastic. But never mind).

Let's see if I can do one of those little preview image thingies (warning: large picture is large):

Yay, I've finally figured these preview thingies out.

Now, it's unfinished - his clothes in particular, among other smallish things. I would like some advice on Ritsuka's clothes, for example which colour/s should I use? Any other effects/textures which would suit the picture? The original scan I made (shrunk down a bit for some unknown reason - I can upload full-size version if anyone wishes) is here if you want to give it a go yourself or if you just wanna see what I started out with. Just credit me for the base, you know how it is.

This one's fairly accurate, I reckon. I only put it on my LJ if it seems more than 70% correct anyways.

you are gray
#808080

Your dominant hue is red... you are passionate, energetic, and unafraid of life's changes. You're all about getting out and trying something new, even if it means taking risks that other people would be afraid of. Hey, if they're afraid and you're not, more power to you, right?

Your saturation level is very low - you have better things to do than jump headfirst into every little project. You make sure your actions are going to really accomplish something before you start because you hate wasting energy making everyone else think you're working.

Your outlook on life can be bright or dark, depending on the situation. You are flexible and see things objectively.

Hello! This is the resources list.

Please note that I have now moved all of my graphics over to a comm created expressly for that purpose: [info]undersigh. Therefore, the following resource list shall contain the resources used only in the making of the graphics posted here in this journal. Since all of my graphics have been moved over to [info]undersigh in any case, the resource list over there will also contain the same resources, plus any additional ones from new graphics posted only in that community.

Note: If I haven't specified where I got some screencaps or textures from, it's likely that I did them myself. Just ask if you wanna use.

So here it is. The resource post. )

So I thought I'd just do a quick update on this post, re: the Twilight lulz.

I'll edit this post and add more links as I find 'em.

From [info]ticcyyy's journal:
This is a book review.
This is a movie review.
Seriously. I died from the appropriateness. Ticcy kills me every time.

From [info]stoney321's journal:
Here are some extremely humourous book synopses. All of the Twilight books have been summarised here in a much more readable manner (so you don't have to suffer through the real thing). Too late for me, though - I read the lot before I even knew about this post. Gah.

Since I've been so obsessed with that song "Shoot The Runner" by Kasabian lately, I decided to make a bunch of icons and banners from the music video. I've also put the screencaps I took (.zip file) under the cut if anyone is interested in those as well.

I made all of these in an effort to get the song out of my head - I had it playing on repeat the whole time I was making these, and actually I think it worked. I'm over this song now. :)

GRAPHICS BATCH SPECIAL #1: SHOOT THE RUNNER!

Your result for The RPG Class Test...

Assassin

70% Combativeness, 53% Sneakiness, 47% Intellect, 19% Spirituality

Violent and deceptive: You are an Assassin.

Score! You have a prestige class. A prestige class can only be taken after you've fulfilled certain requirements. This may mean that you're an exceptionally talented person, but it probably doesn't.

Skulking through the shadows... hunting their prey without remorse... Assassins are some of the most dangerous killers in D&D, and evil bastards to boot.

You're not necessarily evil, but you are both violent and sneaky. Chances are you aren't very honorable. Though who knows? You might have some noble goals, even if your methods tend to be... unorthodox. You might just be a Slayer of Domiel or something.
